Our Mission

At Jalan Eats, we believe that the heart of Malaysian culture beats strongest at its street food stalls. Our mission is to preserve, celebrate, and share this culinary heritage with food lovers around the world.

Founded in 2025, our team of dedicated food explorers travels across Malaysia to discover hidden gems, iconic dishes, and the stories behind the food that makes our country so deliciously unique.

We're committed to supporting local vendors, promoting sustainable food tourism, and creating a community where street food enthusiasts can share their experiences and recommendations.

Our Story

Jalan Eats began as a simple food blog in 2025 when our Front-end Web Development lecturer asked us to create a website of our choice.

Stanley decided on creating a Malaysian street food website and formed our dream team in UTAR.

Together, we've researched over 200 street food vendors across the 5 states, learned about more than 500 different dishes, and built a community of over 4 monthly readers who share our passion for Malaysian street food.

Our Values

Authenticity

We prioritize genuine experiences and traditional cooking methods over trendy or commercialized food trends.

Community Support

We're committed to supporting local vendors and promoting sustainable tourism that benefits street food communities.

Education

We believe in sharing the stories, history, and techniques behind the food to deepen appreciation for Malaysian cuisine.
